
Speaker of the Iraqi Parliament Salim al-Jabouri met on Friday with US Special Presidential Envoy for the Global Coalition to Counter Daesh Brett McGurk.
They discussed the latest security and political developments in Iraq and efforts exerted to liberate Mosul and Nineveh provinces from Daesh terrorist group.
Jabouri called for more coordination between the US and Iraq to fight terrorism and praised steps taken by the US-led international coalition to reconstruct Iraqi cities liberated from Daesh.
McGurk, for his part, briefed Jabouri on the outcome of his meetings with Iraqi officials over aid supplies provided for the liberated areas.
The meeting was attended by the US Ambassador to Iraq Stuart E. Jones
