
Jordanian Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriate Affiars Nasser Judeh on Sunday held talks in Geneva with his US counterpart John Kerry on the latest developments in Syria and efforts to reiterate the ceasefire there.
The two officials underlined the importance of providing guarantees to humanitarian aid and supporting a political solution to the Syrian crisis. They also said they were keen to maintain cooperation and consultations between Jordan and the US to achieve those goals, according to Jordan's news agency (Petra) On Palestine, Judeh underlined the importance of relaunching serious and effective talks within a set timeframe. Such talks, he added, must lead to the two-state solution, entailing the establishment of a viable and independent Palestinian state with East Jerusalem as its capital.
