Jordan Prime Minister Hani Al Mulki met Sunday with British International Development Secretary Priti Patel, during her visit to Amman.
During the meeting, Al Mulki said Jordan needs the European support and commitment to agreements in order to enhance the economy, provide its people with basic needs and enhance the communities welcoming the Syrian refugees.
The prime minister added Jordan looked for European investment to spur the economy and create jobs and maximize the benefits from an agreement signed with the European Union to relax rules of origin on Jordanian exports, according to Petra News Agency.
Patel said she appreciates that Jordan had taken the huge burden of hosting displaced Syrians, pledging support for the Kingdom to address economic challenges along with global institutions.
