
King Abdullah II highlighted on Thursday the strong ties between Jordan and the UAE in various domains.
At a meeting with Speaker of the UAE Federal National Council (FNC) Amal Abdullah al Qubaisi, the King stressed the important role of legislative institutions in both countries to enhance coordination, consultation and cooperation and the exchange of expertise and visits that would achieve common interests, Petra News Agency reported on Thursday.
Talks during the meeting, which was attended Lower House Speaker Atef Tarawneh, also dealt with regional developments, ways of addressing them to bring about security and stability for the region and its peoples, as well as efforts of both Jordan and the UAE to achieve that.
For her part, Qubaisi voiced appreciation for the advanced level Jordan has reached in enhancing the role of women in various fields.
