
King Hamad bin Eissa Al Khalifa of Bahrain met today with speakers of advisory, Shura as well as Representatives Councils and National Assemblies from the GCC.
HE Speaker of Qatar's Advisory Council Mohammed bin Mubarak Al Khulaifi attended chaired Qatar's delegation during the meeting.
The King of Bahrain stressed the importance of the role those GCC councils play in enhancing joint GCC work and advancing ties and integration of member states on the official and popular levels. The king also praised the role of the councils in defending GCC issues to the benefit of the people of the region.
The King of Bahrain also highlighted the achievements of GCC councils on the political, economic, social and cultural levels. The King praised their role, along with Arab parliaments, in defending Arab interests and strengthening ties and cooperation with friendly countries.
For their part, Speakers of advisory Shura as well as Representatives Councils and National Assemblies expressed their appreciation to the support the Kingdom of Bahrain provided to make this meeting possible.
