Kuwait's First Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Sheikh Sabah Khaled Al-Hamad Al-Sabah on Monday met NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg, Kuwait's official news agency KUNA reported.
The meeting reviewed regional and international developments as well as issues of mutual interest.
The Kuwaiti minister reiterated his country's keenness to expand cooperation with NATO, which has been growing since Kuwait joined the Istanbul Cooperation Initiative (ICI) in 2014 and culminates with the opening on Tuesday of ICI's regional center in Kuwait.
Stoltenberg praised Kuwait's "important and constructive" role to security and stability at the regional and international levels.
