
Kuwait's First Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Sheikh Sabah Al-Khaled Al-Hamad Al-Sabah met here today with President of the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) Peter Maurer, who is currently visiting Kuwait.
During the meeting, they discussed a number of issues of common concern.
The ICRC President commended the role of Kuwait in supporting the disaster-affected peoples around the world and its continued support for the organization and its humanitarian activities.
On his part, Kuwaiti Foreign Minister praised the role of the ICRC and its humanitarian efforts, praising the role it played by in the framework of the Tripartite Committee to find Kuwaiti prisoners and missing persons in Iraq since 1991, renewing call for more efforts to end this important humanitarian case.
