Malian President Ibrahim Boubacar Keita met Thursday with Algerian Minister of Interior and Local Authorities Noureddine Bedoui, currently on a visit to Mali.
The meeting reviewed mutual efforts of security cooperation across the borders and ways of developing it in order to preserve security and stability in the region.
The Algerian official reiterated his country's keenness on continuing to support the Malian government in terms of implementing the charter for peace and national reconciliation in Mali, which was signed over two phases; a first phase in May 2015 and a second in June 2015, after five rounds of dialogue that was brokered by Algeria.
