Mohamed bin Zayed receives Bill Gates

His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, yesterday received Bill Gates, co-chair of the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation, who is here to attend a reception in the honour of the winners of Polio Eradication Champion Award, at Al Mamoura, Abu Dhabi.

During the meeting, they exchanged views on a number of issues of mutual concern and the efforts being exerted in various countries and by other competent authorities in the relief, development and humanitarian support domains.

The meeting also tackled ways to enhance efforts and find solutions which would contribute towards reducing the spread of diseases that affect the social and economic development, as well as the importance of backing poor countries and the needy peoples.

Reem bint Ibrahim Al Hashimy, Minister of State, and Khaldoon Khalifa Al Mubarak, Chairman of Abu Dhabi Executive Affairs Authority (EAA), were also present.
