
His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, yesterday received at Al Shatti Palace, Harjit Sajjan, Minister of National Defence of Canada, to discuss avenues of joint co-ordination and co-operation in defence and military fields.
Also discussed were ways of enhancing bilateral ties in a manner that serve the interests of the two friendly countries and their peoples.
Sheikh Mohamed and the visiting Canadian minister also touched on a number of issues of mutual interest and most important regional developments including ongoing international efforts to counter terrorism groups.
Mohammed Mubarak Al Masrouie, Undersecretary of the Abu Dhabi Crown Prince's Court, Lt. General Juma Ahmed Al Bawardi, Advisor to the Deputy Supreme Commander, Arif Lalani, Canadian Ambassador to UAE, and a number of Canadian officials, attended the meeting.
