
Commander of the naval troops Osama Rabie met here on Monday with his French counterpart Bernard Rogel at the French naval forces headquarters.
During his visit to France, Rabie inspected the Mistral-class helicopter carriers in which Egypt has earlier purchased from France.
Rabie also visited French DCNS company's headquarters and inspected a number of naval units including Gowind-class corvette built for Egypt's navy.
This comes in light of efforts to boost bilateral relations in military field.
During the meeting with Rabie, Rogel asserted his country's keenness to support and develop Egypt in military field to combat marine terrorism and secure international navigation.
He added that Egypt is considered a key to security and stability in the Middle East.
