
APF first sub-regional office and the National Human Rights Committee (NHRC) held today a high-level round table meeting to discuss amendments to the Global Alliance of National Human Rights Institutions.
President of NHRC Dr Ali bin Sumaikh Al Marri said that the outcomes of today's meeting will be presented at the global alliance's meeting that will take place in Geneva in March. He thanked officials of the AFP office for holding today's meeting and their efforts in attracting new institutions into the alliance.
Representative of the Global Alliance Alan Miller said the meeting was a good opportunity to strengthen ties between the AFP and NHRC. He expressed his appreciation of the latter's efforts to strengthen ties with all human rights institutions, something that was evident by today's meeting.
