Mohammad Sanusi Barkindo, OPEC Secretary-General, has met with Dr. Mohammed bin Saleh Al-Sada, Minister of Energy and Industry of Qatar.
The two officials reviewed the year 2016, including major activities and recent achievements such as the Algiers Accord, the subsequent Vienna Agreement, and the Declaration of Cooperation between OPEC and participating non-OPEC oil producing countries. These agreements were a direct result of the collaboration between the OPEC's Secretary-General and Minister Al-Sada, who served as President of the OPEC Conference throughout 2016.
The Secretary-General described the important leadership provided by Minister Al-Sada in his role as OPEC President, praising his "expertise, foresight and negotiating skills."
