
Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas underlined the importance of the support of the international community to the French initiative which calls for organizing an international conference to find a solution for the Palestinian Cause.
This remark came during the meeting held between Abbas and the Finnish Foreign Minister Timo Soini and his accompanying delegation.
Abbas posted Soini about the latest developments in the Palestinian territories, pointing out the unique ties binding the two countries.
The president hailed the support offered by Finland to Palestine in many fields especially education.
For his part, Soini stressed his country's backing to the two-state solutions, noting that Finland will go on supporting the Palestinian people as well as the French and international efforts aiming at achieving peace
