
Palestinian Prime Minister Rami Hamdallah called on the European Union to recognise Palestinian State.
This Came during a meeting here on Monday between the Palestinian Prime Minister and EU Director for North Africa and the Middle East Christian Berger.
During the meeting, they discussed the latest developments of the political process.
Hamdallah expressed hope that the EU countries raise the level of Palestinian diplomatic representation and recognise the Palestinian state. He also called them to prevent the entry of settlements' illegal goods according to the International Law.
He pointed to economic conditions as a result of the low proportion of international aid and the efforts of the government to promote the financial situation through the rationalization of expenditure.
He also briefed the EU official on Gaza reconstruction's developments and the government achievements in this regard.
