
H.H. Sheikh Mohammed bin Saud bin Saqr Al Qasimi, Crown Prince of Ras al-Khaimah has emphasised that performing national service is an honour for all loyal Emiratis, noting that the sacrifices of members of the UAE Armed Forces reflected their loyalty and sense of commitment to their homeland and its wise leadership, as their sacrifices ensured the country's security and stability.
While meeting today with a number of Sheikhs and tribesmen in the Emirate of Ras al-Khaimah at the hospitality majlis in Khuzam Palace, Sheikh Mohammed said, ''I feel proud to perform national duty along with my brothers whom I feel honoured to join in the battlefield in Yemen. Today, thanks to the vision of our wise leadership of President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Vice President and Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, and His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, the UAE youth servicemen are able to shoulder the responsibility of defending the homeland and its gains in a perfect way."
''I was honoured to join my brothers, the UAE Armed Forces members, in Yemen as part of the Arab Coalition, and I also feel proud of the sacrifices provided by my brother Ahmed bin Saud Al Qasimi for the sake of the homeland, as well as that of other participant Emirati Armed Forces members in Yemen," he added.
He also noted that what has been achieved in the UAE, in terms of stability, security and social and economic welfare, was a result of the wisdom of the founder of the UAE, the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan and his legacy sustained by President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa.
The audience expressed their happiness at the meeting with RAK Crown Prince who is deemed a role model and an example for the Emirati youth after completing his national service as part of the Arab Coalition in Yemen.
A number of Sheikhs and officials attended the meeting.
