
Prime Minister Sherif Ismail met on Monday with deputy CEO of Shell company Sami Iskander in the presence of Petroleum Minister Tareq al Mulla.
The meeting tackled the company's activities in Egypt as well available opportunities in the field of exploration and drilling new gas wells.
Cabinet Spokesperson ambassador Ashraf Sultan said Ismail asserted that the petroleum and gas sector is a promising market that paves the way for a fruitful future in the light of the available potentials in Egypt.
He noted the government's keenness on increasing returns of available natural mineral resources, better management and full use of it, and promoting all the mining areas to attract more investments into the sector.
