
Iraq's Prime Minister Haider Al-Abadi met here Saturday with Saudi Minister of Foreign Affairs Adel bin Ahmed Al-Jubeir, who is on an official visit to Iraq, Saudi Press Agency (SPA) reported.
During the meeting, they discussed issues of common interest in addition to means of enhancing bilateral relations. Meanwhile, the Saudi Minister of Foreign Affairs Adel bin Ahmed Al-Jubeir met with his Iraqi counterpart Ibrahim Al-Jaafari.
Following the meeting, Al-Jubeir expressed his happiness to visit Iraq for the first time, stressing that the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia stands at the same distance from the components of Iraq and describing his meeting with the Prime Minister as positive and fruitful.
Al-Jubeir congratulated the Republic of Iraq on its achievements in countering terrorism, stressing the desire of both countries to eliminate the scourge of terrorism.
