
Russia's Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov met here today with visiting prime minister of the Government of National Accord of Libya Fayez Al-Sarraj, who is also Chairman of the Presidential Council.
They discussed the latest developments in Libya, as well as issues of joint interest. The Libyan Prime Minister stressed on the strength of ties with Russia in all fields whether economic, political, or military. He added that the Presidential Council is open to dialogue with all parties involved in Libya, stressing on the importance of national, regional, and international cooperation to find a resolution to the crisis.
For his part, Lavrov said that the Russian administration is keen on resolving the Libyan crisis. He added that they will support any outcome a national dialogue in Libya reaches. Lavrov also highlighted Russia's confidence that the Libyan people will overcome the current crisis.
