A meeting between Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov and his Turkish counterpart Mevlut Cavusoglu has been held in Belgrade, amid worsening relations between the two countries over the downing of a Russian bomber in Syria.
According to Russia Today, the meeting is taking place on the sidelines of a conference of the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe.
This is the first time the top diplomats have met since Turkey shot down a Russian Su-24 bomber near the Syrian-Turkish border last week.
Lavrov earlier said that the Turkish side had asked for the meeting to be held, stressing that he would not refuse to meet Cavusoglu.
