
Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukry met during his current visit to Bahrain with Bahraini Prime Minister Prince Khalifa bin Salman al Khalifa.
During the meeting, the two sides tackled regional and international issues of mutual interest along with ways of boosting bilateral ties in the various fields, especially that the Egyptian-Bahraini joint committee will be held on May 16-17, said Foreign Ministry Spokesman Ahmed Abu Zeid.
The meeting further tackled the various crises which are confronting the Arab region and underlined the importance of Arab solidarity to face challenges.
Shourky also underlined Egypt's appreciation of its distinguished ties with Bahrain.
