
Egyptian Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukry met with his Ethiopian counterpart Tedros Adhanom on the sidelines of the African Union Executive Council meetings held here in the South African capital.
Shoukry was keen to convene with his Ethiopian counterpart one day after an Egyptian-Ethiopian-Sudanese summit was held in Egypt’s Sharm El Sheikh city, A Foreign Ministry spokesman has said.
The two foreign ministers reviewed the outcome of the tripartite summit regarding the formation of a trilateral committee to develop cooperation between the three countries and to continue consultations on the ُEthiopian renaissance dam file, the spokesman said.
The two top diplomats also discussed the agenda subjects of the African Union summit, especially the Libyan crisis, AU reform and terror combat, the spokesman added.
