
Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukry on Friday held a meeting in New York with head of the Libyan Presidential Council (PC) Fayez al Sarraj on efforts exerted to restore stability and security in Libya.
The meeting was held on the sidelines of the 71st session of the UN General Assembly in New York, Spokesman for the Egyptian Foreign Ministry Ahmed Abu Zeid said in statements.
The two sides discussed necessary steps taken to implement the "Skhirat Agreement", the spokesman said.
They also reviewed the key role played by Egypt in helping Libyan parties to reach a consensus on the formation of the national accord government, the spokesman added.
