
Egyptian Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukry received on Tuesday Spanish Foreign Minister Alfonso Dastis who is now visiting here to take part in an Arab-European foreign ministerial meeting.
Shoukry reviewed at the meeting the situation at the internal level in Egypt with emphasis on the economic reform program adopted by the Egyptian government, said Foreign Ministry Spokesman Ahmed Abu Zeid.
Shoukry underlined Egypt's keenness on maintaining distinguished relations Spain, said the spokesman. Shoukry also said that Egypt is looking forward to Spanish support inside the European Union given the current challenges facing Egypt atop of which come economic difficulties and fighting terrorism.
The Spanish minister appreciated the Egyptian stances regarding several regional issues atop of which come the files of Syria, Libya, Iraq and Yemen, added the spokesman.
