President Abdel Fattah El Sisi met Sunday with Prime Minister Sherif Ismail and International Cooperation Minister Sahar Nasr.
During the meeting, Nasr reviewed progress made so far to fund national projects and implement government programs from September 2015 to June 2016, Presidential Spokesman Alaa Youssef said.
Nasr said that 70 agreements were inked during this period, adding that withdrawing from Egypt's funding portfolio increased from 10% to 44% to implement several projects especially the projects that have social dimension which contribute to providing job opportunities and achieving suitable economic revenue.
The ministry is working on quickly implementing the projects, Nasr said.
President Sisi, meanwhile, underlined the need of not signing any new loan without making sure of the ability to repay it, said the spokesman.
