
Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El Sisi asserted that Egypt is committed to backing the stability and unity of Somalia, Egyptian Presidential Spokesman Alaa Youssef said on Sunday.
Sisi made the remarks during his meeting with Somalian President Hassan Sheikh Mahmoud on the sidelines of the meetings of the African Union (AU) summit being held in Rwanda.
Also, Sisi assured his Somalian counterpart that Egypt will continue providing Somalia with support in all fields of development and qualifying all Somalian cadres, Youssef added.
For his part, the Somalian leader expressed his appreciation of Egypt's supportive stances to Somalia, hailing the technical backing offered by Egypt in various domains, according to Youssef.
