President Abdel Fattah El Sisi met Tuesday with Housing Minister Moustafa Madbouli to discuss means to improve educational buildings and upgrade their utilities.
Sisi directed that the New Urban Communities Authority (NUCA) establish 15 to 20 new branches of the Nile School in new cities, said presidential spokesman Alaa Youssef.
The meeting also took up steps taken by the Housing Ministry to contribute to the building of a children's hospital in Upper Egypt, Youssef added.
Madbouli posted the president on construction work in the new administrative city, the spokesman said.
He made it clear that 30 percent of operations to extend utilities to the first phase of the project has already been completed, Youssef noted.
The meeting also focused on progress achieved in projects to establish the New Alamain and Galala cities, he added.
