
President Abdel Fattah El Sisi met Thursday with the Envoy of Chadian President Idris Derby in the presence of Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukry and Chadian Ambassador to Egypt Hassan Adam.
During the meeting, the Chadian envoy conveyed the greetings of Derby to President Sisi, according to Presidential Spokesman Alaa Youssef.
He also handed Sisi a message which dealt with ways of boosting bilateral ties between Egypt and Chad, added the spokesman.
Sisi, meanwhile, conveyed greetings and appreciation to the Chadian president.
He also underlined the importance of promoting ties between the two countries in the various fields.
The meeting also tackled the latest developments in Libya, the spokesman said, adding that Sisi stressed the importance of supporting the Libyan state institutions and halting the supply of money and weapons to the terrorist and extremist groups in Libya.
The meeting also discussed the latest conditions in the Sahara region, especially efforts to combat terrorism and confront violent act, according to the spokesman.
