Abdel Fattah El Sisi met on Thursday with Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukry and Minister of Water Resources and Irrigation Hossam Moghazi.
The meeting is part of preparations for the six-way meeting on the Ethiopian Reconnaissance Dam which will be attended by the foreign ministers of Egypt, Sudan and Ethiopia.
Presidential spokesman Alaa Yousef stressed the importance of reaching a joint understanding among the three countries taking into consideration the rights of peoples to receive water and achieve development.
The president expressed Egypt's keenness on the interests of all parties to achieve cooperation and take tangible measures to achieve that goal, said the spokesman.
The meeting highlighted the importance of continuing coordination to build trust among the three countries in line with declaration of principles signed in Khartoum in March 2015 on water quota and economic integration, he added.
