
Tunisian Foreign Minister Khamis Alaghinawa met here last night with Director General of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) Yukiya Amano, currently visiting Tunisia.
During the meeting, they discussed cooperation between Tunisia and the International Agency of peaceful use of atomic energy, especially at the level of competency training and experiences exchange.
After the meeting, Alaghinawa said that his country is looking forward to develop a national strategy for developing peaceful uses of energy, nuclear technology in various fields and employ them in the service of development issues.
The Tunisian Foreign Minister also called for enhancing his country's participation in the programs that are overseen by the IAEA and strengthening technical cooperation and capacity development programs as well as training the experts.
