
Tunisian President Beji Caid Essebsi met here with Maltese counterpart Marie Louise Coleiro Preca who is currently visiting Tunisia to participate in an international symposium on the enhancement of the values of peace and dialogue, hosted by the Tunisian city of Sousa.
During the meeting Essebsi said his country is looking forward to promoting its partnership with Malta due to the effective and constructive role played by the Euro Mediterranean states in enhancing dialogue among their peoples, cultures and economic cooperation.
For her part, the Maltese President expressed appreciation for the Tunisian democratic experience and her country's readiness to continue cooperation with Tunisia through the intensifying of consultation and cooperation in many fields.
