
Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu met here on Friday with US Deputy Secretary of State Antony Blinken , who is currently visiting Ankara.
According to Turkish news agency (Anadolu), the two parties emphasized on enhancing cooperation in the fight against terrorism. They also discussed bilateral ties, regional and global developments as well as Syria, Iraq and Cyprus issues in the meeting.
Cavusoglu, during the meeting, informed the US official on Turkish authorities' stance on ISIS, the PKK and the PYD groups. In its 2015 annual report on terrorism, Washington considered PYD as an active party in the military operations in Syria and kept PKK classification as a terrorist organization.
