
Turkish Prime Minister Ahmet Davutoğlu held a closed-door meeting with Iranian President Hassan Rouhani here.
Rouhani arrived in Ankara coming from Istanbul after his participation in the 13rd session of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation Summit, according to Turkish Milliyet Newspaper on Saturday.
The two-hour meeting took up issues of common interest topped by the Syrian crisis where the two sides stressed the unity of its territories and offering humanitarian aid for those affected by war.
They also discussed the latest developments in Iraq and increasing bilateral trade.
Meanwhile, President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan will meet his Iranian counterpart Saturday in the presidential palace.
