
Juma Mubarak Al Junaibi, UAE Ambassador to the Arab Republic of Egypt and Permanent Representative to the League of Arab States, met Pope Tawadros II, Pope of Alexandria and Patriarch of the See of St. Mark, at St. Mark’s Coptic Orthodox Cathedral located in Abbassia, Cairo.
Al Junaibi offered the condolences of the UAE leadership to Pope Tawadros II on the victims of St. Peter’s Church and hoped that Egypt would be able to overcome the incident.
He praised the role of Pope Tawadros II and the Egyptian Church in supporting national unity in the Arab Republic of Egypt. He also expressed the appreciation of the UAE, led by President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, for the role played by the Egyptian Church in establishing tolerance and love, not only in Egypt but also across the Arab and the Islamic worlds.
Pope Tawadros II lauded the efforts exerted by the UAE to support the culture of tolerance among various religions and races living in the country, praising the UAE’s achievements at all levels.
Pope Tawadros II thanked the UAE diplomat for his keenness to offer condolences on the victims. He also praised the UAE’s leadership, especially President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Vice President and Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, and Supreme Council Members, Their Highnesses Rulers of the Emirates.
