
Head of the UN Support Mission in Libya (UNSMIL) Martin Kobler will head for Ethiopia Thursday to attend the international contact group meeting on Libya.
Speaking to reporters, Kobler confirmed his participation in Ethiopia meeting.
He asserted the importance of forming a new and strong government capable of asking the UN security council to lift arms embargo on Libya to eradicate Daesh terrorist group.
He urged the African Union (AU) and the Arab League (AL) to exert more efforts to exterminate terror groups, especially Daesh which is now heading for the South, posing a threat to Niger and Chad.
He pointed out that he will meet with a number of AU officials to discuss the AU role to face the spread of terrorist groups such as Nigeria's Boko Haram in a host of African countries.
