US, Qatar discuss security cooperation

US Secretary of Defense Ashton Carter has met with Qatari Minister of State for Defense Affairs Khalid al Attiyah.
In a statement on Thursday, the Pentagon said the meeting tackled security-related issues of mutual concern, including the fight against terrorism, as well as ways of stepping up cooperation between the two countries in the security domain.
It is the first meeting between Carter and Attiyah.
