2 killed in shooting in east Lebanon

Two people, including a soldier, were killed in a gunfight between a fugitive and soldiers in Baalbek in east Lebanon on Saturday, according to a military statement. The soldier was killed when Lebanese military troops came under fire while on patrol in Baalbek to hunt a fugitive wanted for murder, prompting troops to fire back killing the fugitive, the army said. Military police was investigating the incident, it added. Source: QNA
