
Oman on Tuesday affirmed support for a political solution to the crisis in Syria. "Oman will spare no effort to peacefully resolve the crisis in Syria and use flexible diplomacy to solve the problems in the country," AFP quoted Omani Foreign Minister Yusuf bin Alawi as saying during a meeting with UN Envoy to Syria Lakhdar Brahimi. Talks during the meeting dealt with preparations to hold the international Geneva 2 conference on Syria. Brahimi arrived in Muscat following his visit to Kuwait where he met its foreign Minister Sabah al-Khaled al-Ahmad al-Sabah. Source: SANA
