Sisters Nada and Kholi Suleiman al-Atrash on Friday were sent to the hospital for treatment after being fired upon at the Al-Kaa area on the Syrian-Lebanese border. The area has witnessed considerable violence lately, with seven Lebanese citizens and three Syrians allegedly shot dead by the Syrian army. Security sources revealed to" Arabstoday" that the sisters were shot while they were in their father's farm close to a Syrian army base 200 metres from their father's house. A medical report issued by the Chtaura Hospital in Lebanon stated that Nada was wounded by a bullet in her shoulder while Kholi was shot by two bullets that penetrated her back, leaving her paralysed.
