Abbas meets British official

Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas met here today with Director of the Middle East Department at the British Foreign Office David Quarry. Talks during the meeting dealt with the latest developments of the peace process, in light of the exchange of political messages between the Palestinian leadership and the Israeli government. Abbas asserted that the Palestinian side is ready to return to negotiations immediately if the settlements building was halted in all the Palestinian territories, especially in occupied Jerusalem.
