Jordan's Minister of Planning and International Cooperation Imad Fakhoury said Monday that the international aid to Jordan is expected to reach 2.8 billion U.S. dollars by the end of 2016.
Soft loans with low interest rates has amounted to about 939 million dollars, the minister said in a press statement.
According to Fakhoury, education is on the top of the list of sectors receiving international support, followed by social protection, health and water.
He also said continued aid to Jordan is crucial as the kingdom's ability to settle down the 1.4 million Syrian refugees inside it has been handicapped by limited resources.
