Ali Khamenei: Extension of sanctions, absolute violation of JCPOA

Iranian Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution has said that the US measure to extend the sanctions against Iran for another ten-year period is an absolute violation of the July 2015 deal known as the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA), IRNA news agency reported Wednesday.

Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei made the remarks commenting on the bill approved recently by the US House of Representatives who have overwhelmingly voted for the ten-year reauthorization of Iran Sanctions Act (ISA) that will be the extension of a law which was first adopted in 1996 to penalize investment in energy industry in Iran. 

Iran's Supreme Leader made the remarks on Wednesday morning during his meeting with a group of Basij (Volunteers) commanders and forces.
