EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy, Catherine Ashton, will meet with Head of Iran's Supreme National Security Council, Saeed Jalili, in Turkey, on Wednesday, Ashton's spokesman said on Monday. Micahel Mann, spokesman for Ashton, told Kuwait news agency KUNA, that negotiations on Irans nuclear program in Istanbul will be the follow-up of the negotiations held in Almaty, Kazakhstan. The 5+1 Group (China, France, Russia, UK, US plus Germany) held the last round of negotiations with Jalili, Irans top nuclear negotiator, in Almaty on April 5-6 but without achieving any breakthrough. Ashton is leading the 5+1 group in the negotiations with Iran.
