The UN envoy to Yemen, Jamal Benomar has confirmed that the National Dialogue Conference (NDC) is based on the principle of transparency. He said that “there is no cooking outside the conference hall” ,affirming that the work of all parties involved in the dialogue is going on with full transparency. In a statement to Saba upon departing Sana’a Sunday night, Benomar pointed out that the conference has commenced a good start and it witnessed a constructive and responsible dialogue from all parties. He pointed out that what distinguishes this conference is the responsibility and optimism about the future, given the importance of this historic event in addition to being based on the full participation of all parties. "The United Nations calls on all parties to contribute to and participate in the national dialogue conference", Benomar said. “As for the issue of South, our position has always been that there is no way to be solved ,only through dialogue and for this we have tried as much as possible to convince the parties who did not attend the conference to participate in the dialogue”, he added.
