Chairman of Libya’s National Transitional Council Dr. Mustafa Abdel Jalil praised Qatar’s role in supporting the Libyan people in their revolution and thanked HH the Emir, Government and people of Qatar for brotherly and good attitudes towards the Libyan people. Dr. Abdul Jalil told Qatar News Agency (QNA) that Qatar played a leading and decisive role since the outbreak of the revolution, which was a complementary of the role played by the international community and other international partners, but was the most supporter until the revolution succeeded. Abdul Jalil added that the Libyan people will always remember the important role of HH the Emir Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani in supporting the joint Arab action and the international community in order to form the international consensus which had an active role in issuing the UN Security Council resolutions relating to Libya, which resulted in the formation of an international coalition to prevent the forces of Muammar Gaddafi to continue their crimes to slaughter the peaceful people of Libya. Dr. Abdel Jalil, said “We do not deny that the international community stood by us during this revolution, and its role was active and bring us victory, but we must not forget at the same time that these countries are civilized and I think they will not ask for price for standing with us in response to what were committed by Gaddafi’s forces of crimes against the Libyan people.
