Egypt's Dar Al-Ifta (House of giving religious opinion) on Wednesday hailed a decision by the US State Department considering Egypt as a safe country.
According to a map that was published by the State Department, Egypt was classified as a safe destination for US nationals who are seeking to spend Christmas vacations.
Dar Al-Ifta's Islamophobia Observatory, in a released statement, said that such a move by the State Department is a clap on the face of terrorist groups and organizations which are trying to tarnish Egypt's image and seeking to undermine and destroy the Arab region.
Such a classification will help increase the flow of investments and support economic development in Egypt, added the statement, indicating that it will also help restore the tourist movement to Egypt.
The observatory renewed its call to adopt an initiative by President Abdel Fattah El Sisi for forming an international union for fighting terrorist groups atop of which comes Daesh group, added the statement.
