The strategic dialogue between the European Union and the Arab League attained remarkable progress, said a delegation of the European Commission in Egypt.
The Arab-European executive cooperation has been developed, especially in fields related to crisis management, humanitarian aid, combating terrorism and organized crime along with arms control and non-proliferation.
In a press release Thursday, the delegation said that representatives of the Arab League and the European Union held on Wednesday the joint meeting of the Arab League's permanent delegates and the Political and Security Committee of the EU Council.
The ambassadors held constructive discussions on a range of issues of mutual interest, with a special focus on terrorism threat and extremism along with the Mideast peace process and the situation in Syria, Libya, Yemen and Iraq, added the statement.
