Azzam al-Ahmad, head of Fatah delegation to the reconciliation talks with Hamas, Wednesday told Voice of Palestine that he will meet Hamas leader Khaled Mishaal in Cairo later in the day. Al-Ahmad said the meeting will follow up and address any obstacles facing implementation of the reconciliation agreement, according to a report of Palestine News and Information Agency "WAFA". He indicated that an Egyptian security delegation will visit the Gaza Strip and the West Bank to monitor the implementation of the agreement next week. The visit, originally scheduled on Friday, was postponed due to technical reasons. The delegation, approved by Hamas and Fatah during the movements’ talks in Cairo, will monitor the re-structuring of the Palestinian security forces, which will be done under supervision from the Arab League, once a nationalist government is formed, added al-Ahmad.
