First Undersecretary of the Foreign Ministry Ayman Kamel said Sunday Egypt is committed to continuing work to support the principles and objectives of the United Nations.
Speaking at a symposium hosted by the Faculty Economics and Political Science, Kamel added that Egypt made numerous contributions in the first year of its membership in the Security Council, especially during its presidency of the Council in May 2016.
The first undersecretary of the Foreign Ministry said Egypt also contributes to strengthen the partnership between the Security Council and the regional organizations, including the African Union and the Arab League.
Egypt hosts more than 15 regional offices of the UN organizations and their specialized agencies, he noted.
