Iranian Foreign Ministry Spokesman Ramin Mehmanparast called attention on Tuesday on the sensitivity of the Syrian issue and warned the countries in the region to avoid provoking acts. Speaking at the weekly press conference of the Foreign Ministry in Tehran, Mehmanparast stated that acts attracting external powers to the region must be avoided, saying such acts would not solve the crisis but have a negative impact on neighbouring countries. Mehmanparast, referring to the Jordan visit of Iranian Foreign Minister Ali Akbar Salehi, noted that Iran is the term president of the Non-Aligned Movement and the movement must be more active. Spokesman Mehmanparast said that Iranian FM Salehi, as part of his Jordan talks, would exchange views on recent developments in the region, particularly in Syria, Palestine and Iraq.
